EPIC FAILURE!

So I show up bright and early to HK University today for the orientation...and there is no one there. Scratching my head, I think, it's June 1st right? WTH is going on here? DUH Norman, there are 31 days in May. Idiot. Orientation is TOMORROW! Which means I could have went out for a few drinks last night instead of calling it an early evening (I'm so mad at myself)!

A funny story to share, I'm in KFC having my breakfast when this guy (couldn't have been more than early 20s), just like falls on the ground out of his seat and passes out. I'm like WTF? They call the cops and the ambulance and apparently he was out partying all night and didn't sleep and he like just passed out from exhaustion...what a crazy dude, but everything was okay and it was good entertainment while I munched away on my Chicken Filet, Sweet Biscuit and Scrambled Eggs (yes, at KFC).

Haha...anyway, time to head out and see some more stuff. It's supposed to be 80+ degrees today plus humidity so wish me luck...thank goodness for deodorant and Axe. Gotta get the most out of the day. Hope everyone is doing well and enjoying the pictures!

Bubba Gump! Run Forest, RUN!

Another picture of the Wan Chai district.

See the San Francisco club? Holla! You can't see it from the picture, but there are scantily clad women sitting outside beckoning for you to come in. Were I a weaker man, I'd be inside making it rain. =D

Cool looking office building (left) that has words going around it.

This is me taking a picture of myself with an awesome view in the background. Can someone please come visit? It's kind of embarassing taking pictures of yourself with hella people watching...but it's okay, not like I have any shame.

Another picture of the view.

So for lunch, I had it MY WAY at Burger King. I had a Double Mushroom Swiss Burger...it was actually pretty good and something we don't have back home in the States.

This is the Wan Chai District. Famous for it's seedy girlie bars (where girls come flirt with you and offer their "services" or try to get you to buy them drinks). There are also a lot of strip club type places here. It's supposedly a favorite spot for U.S. sailors (of course...hah)!

I ran into Jackie Chan. He was on location filming Rush Hour 8 (is that how many there are now)? Haha...okay I'm dumb, it looks real though yeah?

This the tram that takes you up to Victoria Peak, which is the highest peak in HK with breath-taking views.

I told you it was breath-taking...I lost my breath for 2.5 seconds upon seeing this view of the HK skyline.

I LOVE skylines and aerial photography so this view gave me chills. If I was a woman, I'd want to be proposed too with a view like this in the background. Okay, how many man points did I lose for that last comment?

This is the ONLY place I shop...so good thing they have one. I think I need some more Gucci socks and my Gucci toothbrush is wearing out...

The Court of Final Appeal. As it's name suggests, this is your last level of appeal so if they say "No," then sorry dude you are screwed. I will be working for the High Court, which is an intermediate level court of appeals (one level below this court).

St. John's Cathedral. I took a picture from inside the entrance and got yelled at...hehe.

The HK police. I tried to get a better picture, but two of the dudes starting looking at me so I figured I wouldn't test my luck.

Another view of Lan Kwai Fong.

These trees are growing IN the wall...I think that's pretty damn cool, but maybe it's just 'cause I'm easily amused.

These gas lamps are the only four gas lamps remaining in HK.

A pretty bad ass looking office building.

This used to be the headquarters of the Hong Kong Police.

This used to the be Magistracy building (when HK was governed by the British).

The Victoria Prison Compound (it's where you went when you've been a bad boy). It is no longer in use and is not open to the public.

Ah...Lan Kwai Fong...the infamous hot spot...it's an area packed with clubs and bars...I definitely will be spending some time here.

This is a really cool looking high-rise building. Hong Kong has some really neat architecture.

There is literally a 7-Eleven on every corner. Best part is, there is an open container policy in Hong Kong so you can go into 7-Eleven, buy a beer for a buck and just walk around drinking it.

This is the famous escalator (on the left), that connects the Central District to the Mid-Levels. It runs across an area called SoHo (South of Hollywood Road) and is the longest covered escalator in the world. See? I know my facts...maybe I should be a tour guide.

This is the SoHo area, lots of expats (foreigners working in HK) and tourists hang out here. Almost every type of cuisine in the world is found here (except I didn't see Korean BBQ...oh well, can't have it all). Some cool pubs and western-style bars.

There is an alley with a bunch of shops selling antiques. I'm thinking about getting that statue right there to put in the bathroom of my new condo? That way, while you are sitting on the can, you can stare this dude in the face. What do you guys think?

Ah...Chairman Mao figurines...a necessity for any bookshelf or mantel.

This is the Man Mo Temple, one of the first traditional-style temples built during the colonial era. Notice I parked my Lotus right out front (didn't even have to pay the meter).

This is the inside of the temple. I wasn't sure if I was supposed to take pictures, but I did it anyway...oops.

This is the Western Market. First stop on my self-directed walking tour. It is a historical monument that was renovated and now contains a bunch of little shops.

This was an old mail box by the Western Market. It looks just like the ones in the UK.

The inside of the Western Market (two floors of cool little shops).

This is the street where you can buy bird's nests...you can get them in the states, but I've never tried them. Apparently you prepare it in some way and eat it and it is very good for you (like a delicacy).

The rooftop swimming pool at my hotel...pretty cool...good thing I brought my trunks.

This is the view from the fitness center on the roof of my hotel. I get to look at this while running??? That's badass!

Yao Ming plastered on the side of a street car.

This is like some sort of dried something that they sell on the street....haha

This picture is for all of my EY folks. Check it out, I can become a US CPA and work for one of those cool Accounting firms like Ernst and Young in only 6 months!!! Are you kidding me? Now doesn't everyone who went to college for four years for Accounting feel ripped off? Hehe

This is a picture of me taking a picture of myself in the elevator. But instead of seeing my head...you see a beaming aura of light, which is what happens when you take a picture of me (the camera cannot handle my brilliance...yes).

Here is my new phone. This phone is so badass it will beat up any Blackberry or iPhone. You know what app I have on it? SNAKE! Remember that game? Shoot...cost me $50 US dollars after some negotiation in my broken Chinese...=D
